Brighton SEO: A Day (Coconut) Shy of a Week Away, and Dara’s Advanced Google Analytics Workshop
With this year’s first instalment of Brighton SEO just around the corner (Friday 12 April), we thought we’d share what we’ve got planned for the event.
Almost 30 members of our inquisitive and friendly team will be attending. We’re all looking forward to gaining some valuable insight from the event’s guest speakers, including Bing’s director of search Dave Coplin, ex-Google information specialist Fili Wiese and search quality experts Jonas Weber and Alfredo Pulvirenti.
Come and try our coconut shy (and eat sweets!)
Fresh Egg invites you to come and visit our company stand during the intermissions between presentations. Not only will our HR manager Lucy Rennison be handing out plenty of Fresh Egg-branded sticks of rock (mmmmm!), but we’ve also got our very own coconut shy for you to test your throwing skills against.

Of course, details of all current vacancies at Fresh Egg will also be available, as will free copies of our latest white paper ‘DISCO Influence on Internet Growth’ by resident SEO consultant Dr. David Sewell, PhD.
Dara’s advanced Google Analytics workshop
Our resident head of insight, Dara Fitzgerald, will be presenting at the conference (‘Next Generation Google Analytics’, 11.30 approx., Corn Exchange), in addition to running an Advanced Google Analytics workshop on Thursday 11 April.
Dara’s workshop has been created with account managers, SEO managers and insight directors in mind, and these are the subjects he’ll be covering:
- Advanced segments and custom reports (and when to use them)
- Setting up and using Event Tracking
- Making the most of Multi-Channel Funnels
- The foibles of the new Google Analytics interface
- Hacking the GA tracking code
- Understanding cookies
- Cross domain tracking: avoiding the pitfalls
Tickets are still available to buy here, but don’t worry if you’re unable to go – we’ll provide a sneak peak on our blog soon.
We’ll also be posting a summary of Brighton SEO highlights after the event, so be sure to stay tuned to our blog.
