Google Partners Connect Event – A Smashing Success

Earlier this month, Fresh Egg Sydney joined forces with our friends at Google to provide our first ever Google Partners Connect event – and we’re stoked to report that it was a resounding success.

The two hour session was specially designed for small to medium-sized businesses that are new to search. The session introduced them to PPC and aimed to help them improve online business strategies and performance.

In between brunching and mingling, attendees were treated to two video presentations delivered by two Google in-house experts (Elizabeth Fox and Katy Berg). Our very own PPC Director Su Nijhawan also delivered a live complementary presentation.

A variety of guests from different verticals attended, including representatives from the fashion, recruitment, music and insurance industries to name a few.

More than half of attendees said they ‘knew a little’ about online search and 46% stated they ‘knew enough,’ according to feedback obtained via a same-day questionnaire.

69% of attendees said they have used or are still using paid search for their business. Of these, 77% have utilised AdWords as an online advertising platform.

Attendees left ‘inspired’, ‘having learnt something new’ and yearning ‘to know more of the steps of how to start AdWords for new biz’. Some even revealed that they ‘now have enough ammo take back to senior management to justify increased investment in this area’.
