From Twitter to No.10 presentation by Dan Thompson - Reserve your spot now!

2011 may have almost come and gone, but no one in the United Kingdom will forget the terrible riots up and down the country that tore up our streets and destroyed millions of pounds worth of shops and homes. Likewise, we won’t forget the extraordinary clean up operation which the communities undertook in the aftermath of the chaos. Much of this was organised through a Twitter account called @RiotCleanup which Dan Thompson helped setup and run and pull together all of the different strands of our diverse community.

From those who had a broom and wanted to help through to local government and even those inside 10 Downing Street (including the Prime Minister himself) were all pulled together by a social media phenomenon orchestrated by one man in Worthing.

For a limited period only, Fresh Egg is proud to announce a special presentation of “From Twitter to Number 10” which will be given by Dan Thompson himself at the Fresh Egg office on February 23rd 2012. The session, which kicks off at mid-day will explain in depth just how this incredible campaign reached millions of people and became one of the fastest ever growing Twitter accounts. How it reached the national newspapers and television and how Dan Thompson pulled it all together. It gives specific examples of how to leverage Twitter, not only for good causes but has important lessons for business too.

As well as the presentation, Dan will be on hand for a Q&A session and Fresh Egg’s Head of Social Media Paul Chaloner will also present a practical solution to managing such campaigns using custom columns and tricks on Tweetdeck.
