Ex-MediaCom Stuart Beckingham Joins Fresh Egg Sydney

Fresh Egg is thrilled to announce Stuart Beckingham’s onboarding as national sales director in Sydney, Australia. So let’s focus on getting to know more about Stu and what makes him tick.

Stu’s digital world

Stu has 14 years of experience working in the media industry across almost every vertical sector: finance, retail, telecommunications, classifieds, FMCG, automotive, government, luxury, education and travel.

His first professional appointment was as a data analyst with research company iSentia, rising quickly through the ranks to become a digital account manager. He went on to work at 24/7 Real Media (a specialist search agency) and opened its Melbourne office. After two years, Stu moved to dgm as a digital account manager and handled digital marketing for clients such as Yellow Pages, Bankwest and Tourism WA.

Stu joined his last company, MediaCom, in 2010. He headed up the search department (SEM and SEO), which he grew from six people to over 30 staff in three years. That’s not the only thing he grew – his client portfolio went from ten to over 60, having won a number of new business contracts including Westpac Banking Group, P&O Cruises and EA Games.

Stu on Ice

It’s no secret that Stu used to be a world-class figure skater. In 2005, he was the national pairs skating champion with Emma Brien. He went on to represent Australia at the 2006 World Championships in Calgary. Having seen photos of Stu performing lifts, death spirals, twists and throw jumps…, it’s probably best that we never book an ice skating team bonding experience.

Winding down

Like many Fresh Eggers, fishing is one of Stu’s favourite pastimes outside of work. When he’s not casting his rod, he can be found playing with his two fur children (Foxy and Jazzy) or practicing Tae Kwon Do, which he graduated to black belt.

He’s also quite a jet setter. In the last two years, he has travelled to the UK, France, Italy, the UAE, Thailand (twice), Argentina and Cuba.
