Meet the furry faces behind Fresh Egg 🐾

Anyone who's joined a Fresh Egg call from home will know that our colleagues don't always have two legs.

There are cats who stroll across keyboards at exactly the wrong moment. Dogs who consider every delivery driver a major security incident. And assorted furry colleagues with an uncanny ability to appear on camera just as someone is making a serious point.

International Cat Day gave us an excuse to ask the Fresh Egg team to share the pets who keep them company while they work.

We got rather more than cats.

Meet the Fresh Egg pets

Cats may have started this, but dogs and other honorary Fresh Egg animal colleagues were very welcome too.

In our pet collage, amongst others, we have "Duke, Head of Keyboard Operations", "Benny, Senior Meeting Interrupter", "Aggy, Head of Ewok Cosplay", and "Stripe, Head of Nocturnal Affairs."

Their contribution to client work is questionable. Their contribution to morale, lunchtime reminders and unexpected Teams appearances is considerably stronger.

Part of life at Fresh Egg

One of the things we like about seeing everyone's photos is that they show a little bit of life beyond the screen.

We work flexibly, which means pets occasionally wander into meetings, demand attention or settle down beside us while we work. They're part of the everyday lives of plenty of people across Fresh Egg, and apparently quite photogenic.

There's a nice client connection here, too.

Agria Pet Insurance is one of the organisations we're proud to work with. Our work together has included helping evolve its digital estate, with performance and environmental impact both part of the thinking.

So a request for cat photos was probably never going to stay about cat photos.

Thanks to everyone at Fresh Egg who supplied a willing (or not particularly willing) model.

And belated happy International Cat Day to the cats. We're sure they won't mind that they're getting attention ten days late and sharing the stage with other animal friends.
