Challenge

As one of the first clients using our ‘Performance Guarantee’ model, Aardy wanted to accelerate revenue growth through CRO, with a focus on delivering measurable impact quickly.

Our challenge was to drive a +4% increase in conversion rate and an agreed $1m annualised incremental revenue for Aardy over an initial four-month contractual period.

Approach

To kick-start the testing roadmap, we created a prioritised backlog focused on driving incremental revenue for Aardy’s travel insurance product. A key opportunity identified was promoting the “price guarantee” USP more prominently to users.

We worked collaboratively with Aardy and our in-house design team to develop and deploy an A/B test designed to capture user attention and increase overall sales.

To achieve the required +4% uplift in conversion rate, we supported our testing approach with funnel analysis, unmoderated user testing and competitor analysis. This allowed us to identify key areas of the journey to optimise and the most effective drivers of conversion.

Outcome

As a result of the A/B test, we delivered a 12% increase in quote-to-sale conversion and a $2.5m increase in annualised revenue. The test exceeded the agreed $1m target by 173%, demonstrating the impact a single, well-executed experiment can have.

Consistent uplift was seen across all devices, and the winning variation was quickly implemented to ensure the benefits were realised long-term.

The test proved the value of highlighting key messaging at the right stage of the journey, unlocking significant revenue growth.
