Welcome Back Nate, Our Fab New Client Partner

By Emma Couling|4 Aug 2025
We caught up with Nate, who returns in a new role as Client Partner. We asked Nate about what brought him back to Fresh Egg, his vision for the role, and what colleagues and clients can expect.
Firstly, welcome back Nate (you missed us, right). You return as Client Partner. What did you get up to while away?
As a Strategy Director at Fresh Egg, I previously consulted with numerous clients’ in-house marketing teams, and I felt the need to walk the walk, so I pursued a couple of client-side roles in senior marketing positions. It’s been a great experience, truly understanding the day-to-day challenges faced by in-house teams, something that is easy to miss as a consultant.
The time has also helped me reconnect with my previous experience in content strategy, social media marketing, email marketing, and customer lead nurturing, as well as expand my specialisms in SEO and paid media.
Returning to Fresh Egg as a Client Partner is a great way for me to utilise all my skills with clients and assist them with their digital marketing challenges.
"You can have the best product or service in the world, but if it’s not relevant to customers and doesn’t address a need or desire, then it’s next to useless."

Nate Wood, Client Partner
What do you think makes a great Client Partner?
Client Partners are here to connect our clients with the agency. We’re the client’s voice within the agency and the agency's voice with the client. We must be problem solvers, strategic thinkers, understand business commercials, and have industry experience to be a trusted advisor. We must be willing to take on our clients’ challenges as our own.
What does strategic success look like in client services?
Strategic success in client services is about delivering exceptional value by developing excellent relationships with my clients, based on trust and expertise, and helping them achieve measurable impact in their marketing operations and activities.
It's about not being afraid to challenge a client's thinking or to be challenged by my clients on mine. The most successful relationships are the ones with the best conversations.
What's your ethos for putting the customer first?
Without customers, there’d be no business. Customer needs and journeys must influence how a business presents itself and its products or services, ensuring the company remains relevant to those customers. You can have the best product or service in the world, but if it’s not relevant to customers and doesn’t address a need or desire, then it’s next to useless.
What industries have you worked in, and how has that shaped your approach?
I’ve worked in the NFP sector with Fresh Egg extensively, as well as in financial services, within the health tech sector at a startup, ecommerce, recruitment, and more. It’s remarkable how similar marketing across various sectors actually is. While some of the media used may differ, the practice remains the same: demonstrate to customers your relevance to their needs.

How do you stay in sync with evolving client priorities?
Regular client check-ins, keeping myself up to date with industry trends and changes, and always keeping an eye on the performance metrics. With a good client relationship, changes in priorities should naturally become clear in regular communication.
What’s your most niche hobby?
Most niche? Probably wooden spoon carving. I'm also a geek, and I enjoy solving maths and engineering problems recreationally. There's nothing like solving a quadratic equation over breakfast on a Saturday morning.
What’s your favourite song, podcast, or playlist?
I’m a big Foo Fighters fan. All My Life, The Pretender, and Everlong are all favourite songs. As a drummer, I’m also a fan of the work of the late Neil Peart, drummer with Rush, one of the best drummers of all time.
Finally, (the most important question) what is your favourite way to eat an egg? (if there is one)
Without the shell!
